“The Longest Way to the End”, 36 x 48 inches, pictured here last fall in Aspen, was a piece originally painted for the “Hey Kiddo” show at the Red Brick Aspen in 2025. For me, this piece is about loss, change, and memories of the longest and hottest childhood summers that seemed to last forever. Landscape is a metaphor for self, and the only figure is the viewer — enough of something to be recognizable, abstract enough to be anything.
